Counter Blox is a first-person shooter on Roblox modeled after Counter-Strike, featuring bomb defusal, team-based combat, and economy management between rounds.
Economy Management
Managing your in-game currency between rounds is one of the biggest skill separators in Counter Blox. Losing a round costs you money. If your team loses multiple rounds in a row, consider a coordinated eco round — spending minimally on pistols and utilities to save for a full buy next round. A full team with rifles outperforms a split team where some players have rifles and others have SMGs bought with insufficient funds.
Map Control
Every map in Counter Blox has key positions that determine which team controls rotations and information flow. Learning which positions to hold or contest on each map is more valuable than raw aim improvement in the early stages of your development. Watching high-level play is an efficient way to identify important positions.
Shooting Mechanics
Counter Blox uses realistic recoil patterns similar to its inspiration. Tap-firing (one shot at a time) is more accurate at medium and long range than spraying. Practice burst control — short 3-5 shot bursts — for mid-range engagements. Crouching reduces spread but makes you a slower-moving, easier target.
Communication
Calling out enemy positions to your teammates changes round outcomes dramatically. Use callout names from the current map and be specific — "two on A long" is more useful than "enemies on A". Counter Blox rewards teams that communicate over those who play silently.
Utility Usage
Grenades, flashbangs, and smoke grenades are powerful tools when used correctly. Smokes block sightlines and force enemies to reposition. Flashbangs allow safe pushes when timed correctly with teammate movement. Practice utility lineups on empty servers before using them in live rounds.
